We've received a report of vagrants creating dangerous conditions for bikers who are riding through the Ballard Locks in the morning hours. Please be on alert when riding through this area.
Email us your stories and photos of problem spots and incidents. We'll compile them to build a full library of evidence to present. Send it!
Thank You for Keeping Ballard Friendly
Ballard is a vibrant Seattle neighborhood full of a wonderful mixture of young families, urban professionals and retirees. Unfortunately it is also an area that is increasingly adversely affected by public drunkenness, street altercations, and people sleeping and relieving themselves in alleyways and at the doorsteps of businesses.
We call on all Ballardites to work together and report unsafe behavior and environments, and insure our neighborhood continues to be one of the best, friendliest, and safest in Seattle.

The Keep Ballard Friendly campaign was organized and created by a group of concerned, long-time Ballard residents and parents. The campaign was developed through discussions with the Ballard Chamber of Commerce, the In Ballard Merchants Association, the Seattle Police Department, and the Assistant City Attorney but is not associated with any of these groups.
